The company Preventice announced that it has significantly expanded the capabilities of its system of remote monitoring of patients BodyGuardian and thus easier to use for users and medical staff.
Improvements have been made possible by combining the three main technologies monitoring mobile cardiotachometer, event monitoring and Polterovich (ECG) monitoring in one device. Still the control of patients suffering from various heart diseases was carried out using a large number of different devices, which created a problem for the normal life of the patient and were not allowed to monitor for a long time. Patients with cardiac problems, as a rule, are investigated in three different ways, and between these methods is necessary to periodically switch. These are: a) mobile telemetry that enables the collection of a large amount of physiological data in real time over a long period of time, b) monitoring of events, when long controlled the rhythm of the heart, to commit certain phenomena such as bradycardia, and C) measuring ECG, which is controlled by the heart rhythm for a short period of time. In order to solve this problem we developed a new device.
The remote monitoring system health BodyGuardian company Preventice, developed in collaboration with Mayo clinic, uses complex algorithms to provide remote monitoring of patients with cardiac arrhythmia. This is a small wearable sensor attached to the chest of the man who collects important data, including ECG, heart rate, respiration rate and activity level.
This data can then be transmitted to the therapist using mobile technology. The system allows you to create a permanent connection between the patient and medical team.
