Yesterday was a great holiday for all students and Tatyan, but even more significant was yesterday for all fans of the telecommunications industry. Yesterday marked one hundred years since the first transcontinental phone call – significant events that marked the beginning of the very phenomenon of long-distance, and then and international telephone communication. Tatiana’s day happens every year, and that’s centenary is serious. To be honest, I’m still impressed, so today’s website of the day I picked up with the idea, how far advanced telephony long distance for the last hundred years. And I chose the website Gruveo.
The website Gruveo is an online video conferencing service without registration. Like Appear.in, only better. I think that video conferencing is the highest point in the development of telephony great distances. Local calls, mainly perpetrated to make an appointment, or to resolve minor issue (spammers and fake), long-distance and international calls can be used to replace personal meetings, is not possible due to distance. Over the last hundred years the progress has gone from a call bell across the continent Watson to service Gruveo, and much has changed for the better. The most obvious improvement was the opportunity not only to hear but also see companion:
Among other advantages of modern communication it is worth noting convenient routing of calls (can be equally easy to call from anywhere you have a network), maximum ease of identification of subscribers (on sites such as Gruveo don’t even need to register), the ability to chat (text chat), as well as greatly improved (from bell) the quality of communication. If we consider a mobile application (such as Gruveo), the difference will be even greater.
