Huawei has unveiled its own virtual reality helmet under the unpretentious name Huawei VR. The model is prmym competitor to the Samsung Gear VR and is designed to work in tandem with new flagship smartphones Huawei P9 and P9 Plus.

Huawei similar VR with Samsung Gear VR in size, design and functionality. It allows you to view spherical 360-degree videos and play games for virtual reality. On the right side is a touchpad, back button, volume settings and focus. Since the helmet works with Huawei P9 and P9 Plus and not a Samsung, it uses the USB Type-C and not micro-USB.
The device simulates a 130 inch screen from a distance of two meters and offers a resolution of 1080p, whereas the Samsung provides up to quad HD, simply due to supported smartphones.
The price of Huawei VR has yet to be announced, the Company has only promised to release the gadget in 2016.
