Microsoft: damage to the Russian economy from cybercrime reached 0.25% of GDP

Microsoft has shared the results of a joint study conducted with Group-IB and FRII (Foundation for Internet Development Initiatives). According to these estimates, cybercriminals struck in 2015, the Russian economy losses in RUR 203.3 billion rubles, or 0.25% of GDP.

Thus 123,5 billion rubles (0.15% of Russian GDP) refers to direct financial losses, even more 79,8 billion (0.1% of GDP of Russia) companies and organizations spent to eliminate the effects of the actions of criminals.
With various incidents of cyber security, one way or another faced more than 92% of large commercial companies, government agencies, enterprises of small and average business.
