Google has announced the finalists of the annual contest “Doodle for Google”, which is held in Russia for the fourth time. “Doodle for Google” 2016 devoted to travel to Russia for the transport of the future.
According to Google, this year the contest received almost 4,000 entries. The winners were chosen in three age categories – from 6 to 9 years, 10 to 13 and from 14 to 17 years. Employees have chosen 300 of the best works, and then a special jury selected the 30 semifinalists. From 21 March to 3 April ordinary users could vote for the best work in each of the three age categories. In the voting took part more than 200 thousand people.
The winner was seven year old Anya Fagina from Nizhny Novgorod with a Doodle “On Veseloternuvate in Russia”, made from clay. This Doodle will appear on Google.ru April 26. Besides, Anya will be able to meet the doodlers in the headquarters of the company, and her school will receive a new computer lab.
In the age group of 10 to 13 the winner was ten-year Gleb Goncharenko from Nizhny Tagil with a Doodle entitled “Overcoming the space and time on the teleporter”. In senior category first place went to sixteen-year-old Elena Kravchuk from Kaliningrad with the work “Transport, inspired by the country”.
