Samsung will begin shipping OLED displays to Apple in 2017

According to the Korean edition of the Korea Herald, Samsung Display will supply OLED panels to Apple beginning in 2017. The amount of the transaction is about to 2.59 billion dollars, Samsung will give Apple 100 million a 5.5-inch OLED displays for the year.

According to earlier information, Apple has decided to accelerate the introduction of OLED technology for displays in its smartphone line-up and to release the first iPhone with OLED display in 2017 and not in 2018, as previously expected. The displays made with OLED technology will be available only in the top models because of limited initial supply. Also, there were rumors that Apple is developing a large smartphone with a 5.8-inch display, made by technology AMOLED.
In addition to Samsung, Apple is also able to work together to achieve displays with LG Display, AU Optronics and Japan Display,
