Samsung Display company announced its new development – OLED-display, which can be stretched without the danger of damage. According to the manufacturer, this is the first such screen in the world.
The development will be demonstrated at SID 2017 (Society for Information Display), which will be held in Los Angeles from 23 to 25 May. The company will show a 9.1-inch version of the display. It can be stretched by 12 mm when pressed and then restored without damage. As explained by the manufacturer, unlike flexible displays that can be deformed in one direction, for example, fold, bend or twist, the expandable OLED can deform more than in two ways.
