AMD Company presented two new professional video card – Radeon Pro WX 2100 and WX 3100. They belong to the initial level and are designed for workstations.
Both cards are certified and optimized for the most famous professional design, engineering and modeling programs on the market, including SolidWorks, PTC Creo, Siemens NX and CATIA. As the manufacturer claims, the WX 2100 and WX 3100 are the most powerful entry-level graphics solutions for workstations with SolidWorks optimizations and are capable of running 60% and 47% faster than the corresponding competitive solutions from NVIDIA.
Also, the WX 2100 and WX 3100 work at 95% and 2.3 times faster than the previous generation graphics cards – FirePro W2100 and FirePro W4100, respectively. AMD Radeon Pro WX 2100 and WX 3100 are based on the Polaris architecture with a 14-nm process technology. Video cards have 8 computational modules with 512 stream processors and provide a processing power of 1.25 Teraflops at single precision. Radeon Pro WX 2100 is equipped with 2 GB of GDDR5 video memory with 64-bit bus, and Radeon Pro WX 3100 – 4 GB of video memory GDDR5 with 128-bit bus, the frequency is 6 GHz. The peak frequency of the GPU is 1219 MHz, and the TDP is 50 watts. The Radeon Pro WX 2100 and 3100 will be available in June at $ 149 and $ 199, respectively.
