HTC introduced a new virtual reality helmet Link. It is positioned as "semi-autonomous" – to work it needs to connect to a smartphone, but the display has its own, even two.

HTC Link is designed to work in conjunction with the new flagship HTC U11, connected via USB Type-C. The helmet is equipped with a pair of AMOLED-displays with a diagonal of 3.6 inches with a field of view of 110 degrees, a resolution of 1080 x 1200 pixels and a refresh rate of 90 Hz. Motion tracking with six degrees of freedom is claimed, an external sensor is used as in the Sony PlayStation VR.

At the moment, HTC Link is planned to be released only in the Japanese market.
