IDC: Russian PC market continues to recover

Analytical company IDC told about the Russian market of personal computers in the first quarter of 2017. According to analysts, the PC market in Russia continues to recover gradually.

Over the past quarter, Russia has delivered 971 thousand portable and desktop PCs. This represents an increase of 18.3% in unit terms and 14.3% in terms of money compared to the same period last year. Lenovo became the leader with a share of 22.8% of all PCs shipped for the quarter, Hewlett-Packard with 22.3%, Acer with 10.9%, ASUS with 7.2% and Dell with 6.6%. The volume of the desktop market for the quarter was more than 375 thousand pieces, having decreased by 4.5%. The top five are Lenovo, HP, iRU, DEPO Computers and Acer. At the same time in the segment of desktop computers, monoblots demonstrated a noticeable growth. The deliveries of this category of desktops increased by 38.3% in relation to the indicators of the first quarter of 2016. Sales of laptops increased by 39.3% compared to last year to 596 thousand units. The Top-5 includes HP, Lenovo, Acer, ASUS and Dell. According to analysts, at the given moment the segment of tablets demonstrates negative dynamics, and the smartphone market gradually reaches saturation. In these conditions, PC shipments begin to stabilize.
