NAB Show 2020 canceled

The NAB (National Association of Broadcasters) organization, which has regularly held the NAB Show event for almost a hundred years, dedicated to photo and video equipment, equipment for shooting, processing and broadcasting, announced the cancellation of the NAB Show 2020 exhibition, scheduled for April 18-22. As with other mass events that have recently been canceled, the cause was the spread of coronavirus, which this week has classified as a pandemic by WHO.

In a statement published on the NAB website by the president and CEO of the association, Gordon H. Smith, the decision to cancel was made “in the interests of the safety and health of our shareholders, as a result of consultations with partners in the media and industry entertainment. ” The association is currently considering possible alternatives, but a new venue and time for the NAB Show 2020 has not yet been determined. As we already reported, Nikon and Adobe refused to participate in the NAB Show 2020.
