Roskosmos announced a high-precision "Digital Earth"
This became possible due to the growing capabilities of the grouping of Earth remote sensing satellites. The "Digital Earth" will be based on the development of the holding "Russian Space Systems", a part of Roscosmos. According to the idea of the developers, Digital Earth will form the basis of a whole family of new geoinformation services, oriented both to ordinary consumers and to businesses with state-owned companies. At the moment, the orbiting group of remote sensing includes 8 satellites, by 2025 it is planned to bring their number to 20.
