Scientists of the Russian Quantum Center have developed and tested in practice the technology of "quantum block". According to the developers, they made it the first in the world.
Blocking is a way of distributed storage and verification of financial, commercial and other data. In this case, the blockade is protected by methods of quantum cryptography. The article with the results of the experiment is laid out on the ArXiv.org preprint server. A group of researchers at the RCC developed a blocking platform, within which a quantum key distribution can be used-that is, quantum cryptography. With certain network configurations, this allows you to abandon the elements of the blockade, which are vulnerable to attacks using a quantum computer. The presence of quantum communication among participants in the network makes additional demands when adding a new block to the chain. Thus, a quantum lock provides protection from attacks with the help of a quantum computer. As developers say, this makes Russian blockade unbreakable even for Russian hackers. The development was tested on a heterogeneous network of quantum communications, created by the RCC using the Gazprombank lines. In a network with three nodes, the method of forming blocks was demonstrated.
