As expected, Xiaomi introduced the successor to last year's Mixt Fake at the event in China. The smartphone Mi Max 2 received the same 6.44-inch display, but the hardware platform changed, and most importantly, a more capacious battery, promising more than two days of battery life in the talk mode.
Xiaomi Mi Max 2 is enclosed in a metal case with a fingerprint scanner on the rear panel. It is equipped with a 6.44-inch display with Full HD resolution (1920 x 1080 pixels) and 2.5D glass, 5MP front camera and 12 megapixel main camera with Sony IMX386 sensor, phase autofocus and two-color flash.
Hardware base was the eight-core processor Qualcomm Snapdragon 625, 4 GB of operating and 64 or 128 GB of internal flash memory with the ability to expand the cards format microSD.
Supports two SIM cards, LTE with VoLTE, Wi-Fi (802.11ac, MIMO), Bluetooth 4.2, GPS and GLONASS, there is a USB Type-C port. The battery has a capacity of 5300 mAh and supports fast charging Quick Charge 3.0. The claimed battery life is 18 hours in video playback mode or 57 hours of talk time. Dimensions are 174.1 x 88.7 x 7.6 mm, and weight is 211 grams. A proprietary shell MIUI 8 based on Android is installed. The Xiaomi Mi Max 2 smartphone is offered in golden color at a price of 247 USD for a version with 64 GB of memory and 290 USD for a version with 128 GB. Sales will start on June 1 in China.
