NASA (National Aerospace Agency) demonstrated a full-size rover in the complex of visitors to the Kennedy Space Center in Florida. It is a conceptual vehicle, most reminiscent of the famous Batmobile.
It was developed from the end of 2016. The rover has an angular design, six wheels, made of carbon fiber and aluminum, and power is supplied from solar energy. As noted, this concept in reality will never reach the surface of the red planet, but will participate in the educational tour of the US agency.
The rover must accommodate four astronauts and is equipped with its own removable laboratory. Its dimensions are 8.5 meters in length, 4 meters in width and 3.4 meters in height. It can develop a speed of 60-70 km / h. The rear detachable part is a full-fledged laboratory that can produce autonomous research left on its own.
