Uber offers drivers 2GIS instead of Yandex.Navigator

The developers of the reference and cartographic service 2GIS and the company Uber, known for their search and taxi service, announced an agreement of intent. The first result of the arrangement was the integration of the 2GIS navigator with the Uber application for drivers.
Uber offers drivers 2GIS instead of Yandex.Navigator
Thus, Uber drivers will be able to use the 2GIS navigator on a par with the main service application. 2GIS is already integrated with the Uber application for all 16 cities of Russia where Uber operates. When the driver receives the destination address, he can choose either the built-in Uber navigator, or the navigation from the 2GIS. If you select the latter, the Uber application will automatically open 2GIS and build a route in it, taking into account traffic jams and traffic situation. It is noted that there are no restrictions on the number of free launches of the 2GIS navigator for Uber drivers. This is clearly a hairpin for Yandex and his Navigator. Recall, in April, Yandex plans to introduce paid licenses for their Yandex.Maps and Navigator services for commercial use became known. Soon, users launching Yandex applications from links from other services more than ten times a day, began to receive notification of the soonest launch of restrictions on the number of free transitions. Such warnings are received by Uber drivers.
